Britney Spears shared a new photo of her younger son, Jayden Federline, in an April 15 Instagram post and fans think he’s the spitting image of his megastar mom.
In the hazy, sunlit image, the 18-year-old mugs for the camera in a black tank top and a backwards baseball cap. Spears captioned the post with white doves, upside down smiley faces, and swords, adding the emojis in groups of threes.
Her son’s playful, wide-eyed stare in the snap made several members of a Britney Spears fan forum on Reddit nostalgic.
One compared the gamer to his mother when she was near his age, writing, “He has her 2001 face.”
Another chimed in, “He’s always been identical to her.”
A third Reddit poster said of Spears and her son, “Yep! They’re the twinsss.”
The post comes 12 days after Spears called Federline and his older brother, 19-year-old Preston, “incredibly sweet and charming” in the caption of a video of the younger brother playing the piano.
Jon Chu Shut Down Casting Rumors in March
With the announcement that “Wicked” director Jon M. Chu will be at the helm of a musical biopic about the “Gimme More” singer, rumors began swirling about who will play the princess of pop.
Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, and Millie Bobby Brown’s names were thrown into the mix, according to E! Online, but Chu squashed the speculation with a March 23 X post.
“None of this is true,” he wrote, before adding that he has “not had one conversation about casting this movie yet.”
Chu, known for his box office smash “Crazy Rich Asians” which featured the first all-Asian cast in a major Hollywood film in 25 years, is teaming with developer Marc Platt on the project.
As for Brown, a 2025 Rolling Stone report says the “Stranger Things” star expressed she “would love nothing more” than to be a part of Spears’ story, and called the star “an absolute icon.”
Britney Spears Previously Reunited With Son After His 2024 Move to Hawaii
On November 11, 2024, People reported the “Crossroads” star spent some time with Federline at her Los Angeles home when he returned for a visit after making a big move to Hawaii around May 2023 with his brother and father.
The report says Spears fully supported the move, and quoted an inside source as saying, “Britney has always faithfully supported her children and wants them to be happy.”
The source also said of the visit with her son “spending time together has made her happy.”
