BTS’s Comeback Nears: Here Are Each Member’s Military Discharge Dates

It’s official the full return of BTS is just around the corner, and ARMYs worldwide couldn’t be more excited. With June finally here, the countdown has begun for one of the most anticipated reunions in K-pop history.

Jin, the eldest, was the first to enlist and also the first to complete his service, discharged on June 12, 2024. Since then, he’s been actively engaging with fans through music releases and variety show appearances, quickly reclaiming his spot in the spotlight.

J-Hope followed closely behind, wrapping up his duties on October 17, 2024. His return was equally impactful, marked by new music and even a world tour proving his star power hasn’t faded.

Now, five members remain in the military, but their projected discharge dates are all set for this month:

  • RM: Expected discharge on June 10, 2025 (Enlisted December 11, 2023)
  • V: Expected discharge on June 10, 2025 (Same enlistment date as RM)
  • Jimin: Projected to complete service by June 11, 2025 (Enlisted December 12, 2023)
  • Jungkook: Also due on June 11, 2025 (Same as Jimin)
  • Suga: Serving as a public service worker, his discharge is expected on June 21, 2025 (Enlisted September 22, 2023)

Although BigHit Music has not officially confirmed these dates, they align with the standard military service timeline for South Korean men.

With the clock ticking down, the excitement is palpable. Fans are planning projects, rewatching past performances, and sharing emotional throwbacks all in anticipation of BTS reuniting as seven.

The group’s comeback is set to be one of the most monumental moments in recent K-pop history, marking not just a return but a new chapter for the global icons.
