Check out the fast and pacy gift that director Punit Malhotra gave celeb hairstylist Aalim’s son Sky!

Punit Malhotra, who is currently prepping for his next directorial Student Of The Year 2, recently gifted celebrity hairstylist Hakim Aalim’s son Sky, an expensive Mercedes Benz Slk Kids 6v electric toy car with a remote control on the baby’s first birthday.

Aalim, who boasts of Bollywood clients like Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sunil Shetty and Shahid Kapoor, among others, was thrilled at the gesture – not just for the gift but that it was almost a mini version of his own white BMW!

Aalim says he was stunned by Punit’s gift which is almost like a miniature version of his own white BMW. “I was very surprised and touched at Punit’s gift. He had taken so much care to get me that model only. I got home and saw Sky’s car right in front of mine. Punit didn’t even tell me that he was sending me something like this. He knows that I am fond of cars and now my son is also fond of them too. I have three cars – a BMW, Mercedes and an Audi. Sky got the gift when he turned a year-old on June 27. I have a BMW and Punit got a similar looking model like mine – difference being Sky’s is a customized Mercedes convertible. My baby boy loves the car because he can put his IPod inside, and it has other gadgets too like a proper car. We can also use the car with a remote.

Sky’s name is certainly unusual. Aalim smiles, “I wanted to take a stand on this. On social media they keep fighting over religion. Why do we give religion more importance than humanity? I wanted to name him Sky because I didn’t want to give him a religious name. I am Muslim and my wife Shano Hanspal is a Sikh but she didn’t convert to my religion. On Sky’s birth certificate too, I wrote humanity as the religion and he has no surname, it’s just Sky. It’s his choice to adopt whatever religion he wants to follow. I think he should not follow any religion only – except humanity. Everybody loved this idea including my friends and the actors too. They have been inspired and have told me that they too will do the same.”
