After When Life Gives You Tangerines, actor Choi Dae Hoon will reportedly become the main lead of the much-anticipated webtoon-based K-drama Manager Kim.
On September 9, various industry insiders revealed that Choi Dae Hoon has been chosen to be the main character of the upcoming action thriller K-drama Manager Kim.
Manager Kim will revolve around a single father, company manager, and former black-ops member, who lives the life of an ordinary citizen. However, after his daughter goes missing and is potentially dead, Mr. Kim becomes a merciless person who will do anything to find and rescue her. The K-drama will depict its story from the webtoon of the same name, written by Toy and illustrated by Jung Jong Taek.
Choi Dae Hoon received an offer to portray Sung Han Soo, a former taekwondo gold medalist and the father of Tae Hoon. Han Soo was also an undercover agent who, after retirement, now runs a taekwondo center and teaches children in his neighborhood.
According to reports, Manager Kim will have a total of eight episodes, and it will exclusively air on JTBC.

Manager Kim will possibly be Choi Dae Hoon’s third upcoming K-drama.
This year, He starred in the Netflix hit series When Life Gives You Tangerines and received the Best Supporting Actor award in the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards.
Next year, Choi Dae Hoon will greet viewers through another Netflix original K-drama, The Wonder Fools, with Park Eun Bin, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Kim Hae Sook, Im Sung Jae, and Son Hyun Joo.
He will also star in the upcoming Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress, led by Shin Min Ah, Lee Jong Suk, Ju Ji Hoon, Lee Se Young, and Lee Bong Ryun.
