In the K-drama, Choo Ja Hyun plays Yeom Hwa, a “celebrity of the shaman world”. She is a character who hides her true nature of captivating people’s hearts. The sharp gaze Yeom Hwa casts toward Park Seong Ah hints at their not-so-simple relationship.Chu Ja Hyun, who found the character of Yeom Hwa— a new character not found in the webtoon — appealing, said, “I was excited to explore how to portray the role of a shaman. As an actor, the chance to create my own version of a shaman also made me enthusiastic.” She added, “I felt a sense of responsibility to make this a character that would leave a lasting impression on viewers,” explaining her reason for choosing the project.

She also explained, “Yeom Hwa is someone who throws herself into hell and lives destroying herself. The fact that he carries deep wounds made her even more multi-dimensional and pitiful to me.” She added, “As viewers watch Yeom Hwa’s life, where she has no choice but to accept her tragic fate, I believe they, too, will feel sorrow and tension.”

Head over Heels is coming June 23 on Prime Video.
