While the television series and the animation series based on the Baahubali characters is in the pipeline, the next level for Indian entertainment industry’s biggest franchise is the virtual-reality film based on the characters from the series.
Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda who is on a family holiday informs, “It is called The Sword Of Baahubali .It’s a virtual-reality film of 8-9 minute duration based on the Baahubali characters. We’ve already identified kiosks in malls in key cities including Hyderabad where it would be screened. Once I return to India next week it will be put across the country.”
Shobu is besieged by requests for the Baahubali franchise to be renewed in some form or another. “We have an animation series and television series based on the characters from Baahubali. But first we have the virtual-reality film. As far as another Baahubali feature film is concerned there is nothing in the pipeline right now.”
