Confirmed:  J P Dutta & Abhishek Bachchan Team Up Again For Paltan

It is finally confirmed. Abhishek Bachchan is teaming up with his Christopher Columbus once again.

J P Dutta  who introduced Abhishek  in Refugee 17 years ago,will star in exiled Movie Moghul’s comeback film another war saga titled Paltan

Interestingly the last film that JP directed Umrao Jaan before taking a lengthy 11-year sabbatical ,also starred Abhishek.

Says a source close to Abhishek, “Ever since Abhishek was launched by JP Saab in Refugee Abhishek has considered  his first director a father-figure in his life.Although JP has not made a film in 11 yearsAbhishek has always stayed close to JP and his family wife Bindiyaand two daughters Nidhi and Siddhi. Abhishek made sure to attend ever major function in the Dutta household .”

Says J P Dutta, “I am really proud of what Abhishek has achieved. I think his debut in Refugee was very  impressive. After that I watched Abhishek’s growth as an actor.What he did in Mani Ratnam’s Guru , I feel no one else could have done. In fact Abhishek’s performance in all the three Mani Ratnam films he did(Yuva, Guru, Raavan)  was exemplary. I am proud of him.”
