DEX addresses reports of his casting in Bae Suzy's new K-drama, 'Men of Harem'

DEX is reportedly one of the leads of the upcoming K-drama Men of Harem.

On June 19, media outlets reported that DEX will be one of the leads of the upcoming K-drama Men of Harem.

DEX’s side responded to the casting reports. According to DEX’s agency, “It is not true that DEX will appear in the upcoming K-drama Men of Harem. The rumors are groundless.” 

According to reports, DEX will star as Bae Suzy’s character’s concubine. Bae Suzy is currently reviewing the offer to lead the upcoming K-drama. 

 Men of Harem will tell the fantasy romance story of a Queen who uses her male concubines to protect her position on the throne. The story will be based on a web novel of the same name.

This will be the next work of director Lee Eung Bok (Sweet Home, Mr. Sunshine, and Goblin) and writer Hwang Jin Young (My Dearest and Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People). Studio Dragon will produce the upcoming series. 

Bae Suzy will reportedly star as Latil, the Empress of the Tarium Empire. She uses her male concubines to protect her position.  There are no other reports yet on who will join Bae Suzy in Men of Harem. 

Meanwhile, the release date and broadcast platform of Men of Harem are also yet to be announced.

DEX is currently active as an entertainer and an actor. 

He will star in his first official K-drama project this year. He will play a supporting role in the upcoming K-drama The Defects, and he will work with Yeom Jung Ah, Won Jin Ah, Choi Young Joon, Lee Na Eun, and Kim Ji An. The series will premiere next month. 

He will also reportedly make a cameo appearance in Bloodhounds Season 2, led by Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi, Rain, and 2 PM’s Hwang Chan Sung.

Aside from his acting activities, DEX is still active in his entertainment gigs. He will return to Fresh off the Sea Season 2 in the 11th episode, which will premiere this week. 

He is also the main host of the ongoing SBS audition program B:My Boyz.
