Dharm Director Bhavna Talvar Suffers Snow Accident In Spain

Filmmaker Bhavna Talwar of the National award  winning 2007 film Dharm suffered an accident  in Spain while hunting locations for her next film Heidi.

Though she is recovering after immediate medical attention the fall left her stunned with an injured elbow .

On contacted Bhavna’s husband producer Sheetal Talwar gave details of the accident. “We are shooting for Heidi in a region called Cantabria. Bhavna and the team were recce-ing on a snow slope called Alto Campoo. The snow mobile Bhavna was travelling on hit soft snow and overturned.”

Bhavna had a providential escape from grave injury.

“Her elbow took the main blow.But for two hours we didn’t know whether we were coming or going. Luckily the medical care in Spain is outstanding. Bhavna was rushed to  a hospital . No questions about medical insurance etc were asked. No forms to be filled .All they asked me was her age. No delay in immediate medical attention. There is a lesson to be learnt about emergency medical care in our own country where the injured and wounded often die due to delays in treatment. I can’t thank the medical staff here enough,” says Sheetal gratefully.
