Director Gautham Menon To Make A Film On Nayanthara

One  of Tamil cinema’s most  accomplished  directors Gautham Vasudev Menon is  all set  to make a film on the life and career  of  ‘lady superstar’ Nayanthara.

The film ,commissioned  by Netflix, will trace Nayanthara’s rise from choreographer’s assistant to the  highest-paid actress of Tamil cinema.

There were some reports that  Gautham Menon  was  commissioned  to shoot Nayanthara’s wedding which were  not true.

“Netflix has actually signed Gautham  Menon  to make  a  film on Nayanthara’s rise  to  superstardom. Menon is  a close friend of  both Nayanthara  and  her  husband Vignesh Shivan. He  knows  them from before they were dating, ” a source  in  the  know informs.

This is the first documentary on a contemporary  female actress in a series that Netflix has planned where  directors will be asked to make documentaries  on  popular star-actors whom they know  well.
