Drake Was Among Several Celebrities to Reply to Justin Bieber

“I DM’d but no reply,” Drake commented on April 7, 2025 in response to an Instagram post made by Justin Bieber in which the “One Less Lonely Girl” singer asked people to “DM if u wanna make music together.”

Bieber’s request for direct messages was the caption underneath an Instagram Carousel of photos which showed three blurry shots and a picture of the singer sporting his small diamond nose ring.

Bieber’s post garnered a plethora of responses, including one in which former Vine star Gabbie Hannah suggested, “Let’s make great cool Christian music.”

The ex social media maven and Canadian popstar appear to share a mutual interest in religion, as Bieber captioned a late March post, “ITS CUZ I AM A MANIAC that we dedicated Jack Blues Bieber to Jesus,” referencing his 7-month-old son with wife Hailey, 28.

Rap star Bhad Bhabie, who gained fame after delivering the unforgettable phrase “catch me outside” on a 2016 “Dr. Phil” episode and has recently made headlines for battling with Alabama Barker, was also among the musicians who responded to the post. She implored Bieber to “check DM.”

R&B artist Kehlani didn’t ask to collab with Bieber, but simply commented, “whewwhewwww.”

Drake’s Request to Collaborate With Bieber Might Have Been A Joke

Drake and Bieber, who have collaborated together on several songs in the past, obviously know each other. The “Take Care” rapper likely has the pop idol’s phone number, and might not need to hit up Justin Bieber’s DMs in order to get his attention.

The two Canadian superstars’ working relationship dates back to 2012 when they debuted their joint song “Right Here” from Bieber’s album “Believe.”

The pair teamed again on the song “POPSTAR” with DJ Khaled. They also worked together on the 2024 song “Dilemma.”
