Even though Shraddha Kapoor was offered both Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh roles, Fatima had already been signed much earlier!

The shooting of Aditya Chopra’s Thugs Of Hindostan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, has started in Malta for the last few days but here’s a bit of information we managed to dig out. Fatima had been signed way before Katrina or any other heroine in Thugs Of Hindostan!

Says an insider, “Shraddha Kapoor was approached for both the roles that Katrina and Fatima are playing today, by Aditya Chopra, as the director and he were keen to work with her. While Fatima plays a girl, well-versed in fighting, including sword-fighting, and someone who is part of Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan’s team of thuggees or thugs, Katrina plays an exotic dancer of mixed origins whom Aamir falls in love with. Shraddha loved both the characters and was in the process of finalizing one (she had loved Fatima’s character better) when the negotiations fell through.”

The money offered to Shraddha was almost a pittance – and way less than her market remuneration too. “It was as if it was understood that she would comply because Shraddha was working with YRF, and super stars like Aamir and Amitabh Bachchan. At that time the actress had been offered the biopic on Sania Mirza and a couple of others and the producers were prepared to pay her market price. Obviously Shraddha had to turn down Thugs Of Hindostan. Once the negotiations with Shraddha fell through, Katrina was approached and she signed the film. But Shraddha was in for another shock. “After she left TOH, the actress came to know that while she was offered both Fatima and Katrina’s roles, Fatima was always finalized for the film for the role she is doing right now, so Shraddha would have had to do Katrina’s role anyways. Maybe Adi might have made a switch of roles if Shraddha had signed the film but now she will never know. Fatima and Katrina’s roles in the film are equally important and one is not lesser than the other in any way.”[tooltip type=”box” html=”Input Your Content Here” box_background_color=”#eeeeee” box_opacity=”0.95″ box_padding=”10″ box_border_color=”#3F3F3F” box_border_width=”1″ box_border_radius=”0″ id=”88b6af99531f838ed90aed058b7d870a” /][tooltip type=”box” html=”Salman Khan Bollywood Actor” box_background_color=”#eeeeee” box_opacity=”0.95″ box_padding=”10″ box_border_color=”#3F3F3F” box_border_width=”1″ box_border_radius=”0″ id=”c1b465420d07c688942ed18eadfd9f92″ /]
