In a rare show of trust and confidence Pahlaj Nihalani the chairperson of the Censor Board says Tiger Shroff’s new super-hero film A Flying Jatt has the potential to be a cult film.
“It is not a copy of the Hollywood super-hero films. The problem with Bollywood super-hero films is, they try to be like their Hollywood counterparts. The desi super-heroes try to be like Batman, Superman and Captain America. Why would our audience pay Rs 350 to see a copycat version of Bollywood super-heroes, “ says Nihalani, strongly endorsing A Flying Jatt’s strong originality and religious undertone and approving of the film as a prime example of the Prime Minister’s Make In India campaign.
Says Nihalani, “A Flying Jatt is a true Indian film. Iss film ka dil hai Hindustani. Tiger Shroff plays a true Sikh.A bhakt of Vahe Guru. This is the first Indian super-hero film with such a powerful message on divinity and God. A Flying Jatt has the potential to be another Jai Santoshi Maa, the 1975 cult hit which spawned entire generations of devotees.”
Sources say the ruling government strongly approves of films that propagate religious tenets and beliefs in a positive and life-enforcing manner.
