If you think John Abraham is worried about taking on the Hollywood spectacle Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them , then think again.
John is very confident about his product.
“I am very sure we have a sturdy action franchise in Force. In fact I think this the only bonafide Bollywood action franchise and we the Force team take it very seriously. While in the first Force film my character’s grievances were personal , in Force 2 the conflict is far more universal .I feel Force 2 has more power to impact our lives. Cinema has to take responsibility for what happens around us.And we’ve done that in Force 2,” says John.
But would the powerful message of cross-border terrorism find widespread acceptance, especially during a week when the Harry Potter writer J K Rowlings unleashes a torrent of fantasy in Fantastic Beasts?
Says film critic Raja Sen, “Every movie should fear a J K Rowlings adaptation.”
Says trade analyst Atul Mohan, “Force 2 has a definite edge over other releases of the week. First installment being a decent success we can expect part 2 to also run well. Also one point to be noted here is that John in any second instalment has worked be it Housefull 2, Race 2, Welcome Back etc.”
Atul however warns that real enemy is not competition from other films but the cash crunch. “ Before being scared of each other the biggest reason of scare for all these days is demonetization. Just see the disastrous result of this weeks release releases and impact on Diwali releases. Scary! We can only pray that things get back to normal as early they can.”
