While there have been questions about Drew’s behavior since he was in Pentonville, the developments with the character have been sharp and quite abrupt. These have ranged from ending things with Carly to a hateful fling with Nina and his eventual run as Congressman. He also shared an explosive kiss with Willow, which changed the entire Willow-Michael dynamic.
So, it seems that since the time Drew came back from prison, he has been very different from the person he was when he went in. A theory shared by a fan on Soap Hub claims that this could actually be because he is a different person, literally.
The theory claimed that someone would kill Drew, sparking a whodunnit run in General Hospital. Moreover, the theory stated that “Drew was switched in prison with a lookalike by Cyrus,” and that Cyrus was not really dead. That would explain the changes in Drew after he returned. It has been addressed on the show, too. It would also mean there is a bigger plot unfolding.
If all these things were true, it would throw fans off balance completely. It is indeed a fact that Cyrus was in Pentonville at the same time as Drew. Moreover, the writers of General Hospital often create such huge twists. This particular one would fit in well and would also explain why Drew has been so different lately.
Of course, until this happens, there is no way to know if this is true. But for most General Hospital fans, this will at least be an intriguing prospect.
