Gippy Garewal  Sings For Ranveer In Befikre

Punjabi superstar actor-singer-director Gippy Garewal who made his disastrous Bollywood  debut with Second Hand Husband last year is back in Bollywood  with a  song.

He has just rendered the title number in Aditya Chopra’s Befikre which will be filmed on Ranveer Singh. Though Gippy is not allowed to say much about the number one hears it will be shot to steamy visuals ofRanveer Singh making love to Vani Kapoor.

Says Gippy, “Yes, I am back in Bollywood  with a  song for Yash Raj film. Also, I’m directing a film in Hindi. It’s a remake of my directorial debut in Punjabi  Ardaas.”

Gippy says his directorial debut was far removed from what audiences normally  expect  from him. “I directedArdaas , so  I could speak on matters that I am not able to address in my films as an actor.When I direct a film I don’t want to be  bogged down by expectations.”

Now Gippy is directing Ardaas in Hindi. “I will be heading for Mumbai this month to finalize the cast. The Hindi remake of Ardaas would be very different from the Punjabi version. Ardaas in Punjabi was based on the teachings of the Gurbani. We are changing the basic content, though not the intent. Also, the cast will be completely Bollywood .Some very prominent names are being considered.”

Gippy is very clear on his role as a director. “When I direct a film I’ll never face the camera in the same film. It is too much to taken on both act and direct simultaneously.”
