It also saw a surge in diamond certifications, the highest honor bestowed by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The award was unveiled in 1999 to celebrate albums and songs that have sold at least 10 million equivalent units. (An artist or label must also request an updated certification.)

Only 125 songs in history have received the award so far, but 27 of those — over 20% — were certified diamond in 2023 alone. They're all listed below in chronological order of certification.
