The Bachelor producers? Check! Golden Bachelorette lead Joan Vassos? Check!! And now, franchise host Jesse Palmer? Check!!! On the list of crucial Bachelor franchise figures Decider spoke with about Golden Bachelor in Paradise, the support is unanimous! And not only is Palmer “all for” another senior spin-off, but he already has a dream Golden Paradise couple in mind!

“Yes! I think that would be an amazing idea,” the Golden Bachelorette host told Decider over Zoom. “First off, it can’t be in Naples, Florida, or a retirement community. It has to be on a beach, in a tropical paradise type place.”

When describing the essentials for Golden Bachelor in Paradise, three things came to Palmer’s mind: “There has to be air conditioning. And there has to be an open kitchen with a kitchen cam, so Susan [Noles] and Jack [Lencioni] could just cook all the time. I think it would be amazing.”

When asked if Palmer had a Golden Bachelor in Paradise dream couple in mind, he shouted out Susan and Jack, saying, “They might actually find love just through their love of the kitchen together, and their personalities. I think it would be great. I am all for that. Let’s do it.”

When chatting with Joan Vassos at a high tea event in New York City the night before her Golden Bachelorette premiere, Decider asked the 61-year-old lead if she saw any of her exes from the show with the women from her Golden Bachelor season, and she gave a resounding YES!

“That is such a great question, because I absolutely have at least two matches that I think are made in heaven and that I want to be married. I swear I did. And I think that is a really cute thing, because all the Golden ladies really want to meet the Golden guys. So we need to figure out some way to make that happen,” Vassos said. “If it’s Paradise, great. If it’s just like, ‘Let’s have like a reunion, like a party with everybody’ or something, I think it would be so fun.”

During The Golden Bachelorette premiere, viewers started sharing their dream matchups from both seasons on social media, with two popular pairs being Palmer’s beloved Susan Noles and Jack Lencioni and Natascha Hardee and Gary Levingston, Tina Turner’s godson. Vassos told Decider, “My God. I do have two matches that I think are going to get there,” so maybe Bachelor Nation nailed it! We’ll have to wait and see…

When speaking with Decider at the 2024 Television Critics Association’s press tour in February, the Bachelor franchise’s executive producers Bennett Graebner, Jason Ehrlich, and Claire Freeland also confirmed some sort of senior Bachelor in Paradise spinoff is a real possibility.

“We would all love to see what that looks like,” Ehrlich said. “There are so many deserving women,” Freeland added, referencing The Golden Bachelor cast. “When we think about what other opportunities are there for these women who have connected so much with the audience, and who have just so much more story to tell, it’s very exciting to think what the possibilities could be — whether it’s Paradise or something else.”

New episodes of The Golden Bachelorette premiere Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. on ABC with next-day streaming on Hulu.
