Craig Conover Says ‘Maybe’ He’ll Adopt a Baby Amid Paige DeSorbo Split

Craig Conover is doing some baby talk.

On the February 13 edition of the “Southern Charm After Show,” the Sewing Down South founder talked about babies with his “Southern Charm” co-star Madison LeCroy. As LeCroy gushed about having a child with her husband Brett Randle, Conover said, “Maybe I’ll adopt a little baby.”

LeCroy, who recently announced she is expecting her second child, then joked, “If I have twins I’ll just give you one.”

Conover admitted he had thought about adopting a dog but realized it was probably not a good idea right now. “No, the puppy thing popped in my head and I said, ‘Don’t do it Craig,'” he shared. “But then I was like, ‘You need purpose.'”

In January, Conover confirmed his breakup with his longtime girlfriend Paige DeSorbo. The South Carolina businessman had long talked plans for marriage and kids with the ”Summer House” star.

Conover, 36, has repeatedly talked about having children. When he was with DeSorbo, she admitted she wasn’t ready to take that step yet.

“I think [having] babies is something that you really can’t plan,” DeSorbo said on the “Summer House After Show,” per BravoTV.com.  “We will compromise and go by my timeline for a baby because, again, I’m the one that will carry it for nine months, and my life and job will change, and literally nothing will change for him until the day I pop that kid out.”

In the “Southern Charm” season 10 episode “Sew Not Invited,” Conover made a trip to a sperm bank as an insurance policy. “Me and Paige have decided to freeze my sperm,” he later told co-stars Shep Rose and Austen Kroll. Conover explained that he wasn’t taking any chances when it came to having a biological child someday.

“I read about this person who got in a car accident … they can’t produce anymore. I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is, probably, whatever it’s called if it has to happen in my future,” he explained.

Craig Conover Has Been Preparing for Fatherhood

Conover has been very busy with his career, which includes his home décor business Sewing Down South, a new bar and restaurant partnership, a canned beverage collaboration, and a cross-country home show tour.

In a September 2024 interview with E! News, he revealed that he was working hard now so he can be present for his kids someday. “I’m really business-focused right now, but that just comes from wanting to build stuff for our future family,” he said. “I think I’m very family-oriented, as in, I wanna have a good foundation so that, when the kids come, I can be with them as much as possible. Your priorities shift a little bit.”
