Spring will spring a little early for Hallmark fans, as the network kicks off its annual “Spring Into Love” programming on March 22, 2025 — ahead of its typical April debut — and it’ll feature a familiar face to many.
Mindy Cohn, who played Natalie for nine seasons on the 80s sitcom “Facts of Life” and is now part of Emmy-nominated “Palm Royale” cast on AppleTV+, spent a portion of 2024 filming four “Hearts Around the Table” movies for Hallmark Channel. A new movie in the collection will debut each Saturday night beginning on March 22 — but it’s not quite clear yet how Cohn’s character will tie all the movies together.
Meanwhile, “Spring Into Love” will also feature a new DaySpring destination movie from longtime Hallmark star Erin Cahill and the Hallmark Mystery debut of a new “Aurora Teagarden” movie.
‘Hearts Around the Table’ Movies Filmed From August Through November 2024
Cohn dropped multiple hints in the fall of 2024 that she was filming a Hallmark project in Ontario, Canada, periodically posting photos with members of the cast including one on November 24 that included Hallmark regulars Kathryn Davis, Steve Lund, Ashley Newbrough, Torrance Coombs, Jake Epstein, and Mishael Morgan.
According to Production Weekly, the first movie began filming in late August. In September, Cohn also posted a photo of herself with several of her Hallmark castmates, noting that she had to head back to LA to film “Palm Royale” but would be back in Canada to continue filming soon.
In October, Orillia Matters published photos of cast and crew members filming outdoors, including one of Davis and Morgan laughing together. Originally called “The Hearts of Robin Lane,” the collection of movies has been renamed “Hearts Around The Table.”
In late February, Hallmark announced two of the movies would premiere in March, and it has since revealed two more will debut in April. Here’s what to watch for, according to Hallmark’s newly-released schedule:
MARCH 22 at 8 p.m Eastern time: “Hearts Around the Table: Jenna’s First Love” — Starring Newbrough, Lund and Cohn, the synopsis reads, “Jenna plans a charity event for Billionaire Tom Redlands. But working with Tom’s right hand Andrew is proving difficult, especially since Jenna and Andrew have a romantic history.”
MARCH 29 at 8 p.m. Eastern time: “Hearts Around the Table: Shari’s Second Act” — Starring Morgan, Cohn, and Brendan Morgan, the synopsis reads, “Shari just moved back to D.C. after a breakup and hopes to start painting again. Inspiration hits when she meets Evan, a repairman who winds up actually being a gallery owner.”
APRIL 5 at 8 p.m. Eastern time: “Hearts Around the Table: Josh’s Third Serving” — Starring Epstein, Cohn, and Stephanie Bennett, the synopsis reads, “When after school programs see their funding cut, Teachers Josh and Ella turn to fundraising before banding together in search of a larger donation, falling hard along the way.”
APRIL 12 at 8 p.m. Eastern time: “Hearts Around the Table: Kiki’s Fourth Ingredient” — Starring Davis, Coombs, and Cohn, the synopsis reads, “Kiki is overjoyed and then overwhelmed when she agrees to cater a big wedding. She turns to Clay for support. Together, Kiki and Clay prove that the best ingredient is love.”
Based on the camaraderie between all of the actors involved, evident in their social media posts and photos of them on set together, it’s likely that Cohn isn’t the only through-line in the movie collection, but that some or all of the actors appear in more than one movie each.
2 Additional Movies Scheduled to Premiere During ‘Spring Into Love’
After the “Hearts Around the Table” movies wrap up, Hallmark has plans to premiere a new DaySpring destination movie starring Cahill and “Superman and Lois” alum Erik Valdez, who posted on Instagram after his first week of filming. He and Cahill shot “Journey to You” in Madrid, Spain, in early 2025 and it is slated to premiere on Hallmark Channel on April 19 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Here is Hallmark’s synopsis for the movie: “After missing out on a promotion, Monica reluctantly walks the Camino de Santiago. She’s surprised when along the way she finds inner peace and a potential romance.”
Though Hallmark has not announced any brand new mysteries as part of its “Spring Into Love” promo, the Hallmark Mystery premiere of “Aurora Teagarden: A Lesson in Murder” is planned for April 10 at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The movie — starring Skyler Samuels, Evan Roderick and Marilu Henner — first premiered on Hallmark+ in October.
