Super Bowl + Super Heroes: Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt Team Up for Super Bowl Ad

If you’re one of the more than 120 million people expected to tune in for Sunday’s Super Bowl, the action between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles won’t be the only thing worth watching.

The Super Bowl is as famous for its commercials as it is for its football. And this year, Meta is shelling out big bucks to have two super heroes sell its Ray-Ban Meta glasses.

Who Eats Art? Hemsworth and Pratt Go a Little Bananas in Meta Commercial

As the actors known best for bringing iconic super heroes Thor and Star Lord to live, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt are typically tasked with saving the world. Not this time. This time the pair leave destruction in their wake, starting with a banana.

The Chrises are joined by a third Kris, Kris Jenner, matriarch of the Kardashian clan. Jenner doesn’t find their antics too “a-peeling” after Hemsworth eats a banana that is actually a $6.2 million piece of art that is part of Jenner’s collection.

The Destruction Continues with Meta’s Second Ad

But the pair’s trouble-making doesn’t end with the banana. A series of selfies ends with a statue losing its head, and the Chrises looking for a way to cover up their crime.

Chris Hemsworth Has Appeared in a Super Bowl Ad Before

This is not Chris Hemsworth’s first time appearing in a Super Bowl Ad. The Australian actor has appeared in a series of Australian tourism ads spoofing “Crocodile Dundee” that aired in the 2018 Super Bowl.

Chris Pratt’s Super Bowl Ad Credits Also Stretch Back to 2018

“Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Jurassic World” actor Chris Pratt’s Super Bowl appearances also stretch back to 2018, when he starred in a Super Bowl ad for Michelob Ultra. He even sings!

And last year, he starred alongside his mustache in an ad for Pringles potato chips.

Even Kris Jenner Isn’t New to Super Bowl Ads

Kris Jenner may be busy Keeping Up With the Kardashians on season six of the family’s second reality series, simply titled “The Kardashians.” But she’s still found time to appear in more than one Super Bowl ad.

Jenner made her Super Bowl debut in 2024 as part of Oreo’s “Twist On It” campaign. The commercial shows Jenner in what appears to be a flashback to 2007, the same year “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” premiered. When considering the idea of her family appearing in a reality show, Jenner says, “So every little detail about our family will be on TV? Who would watch that?” Then she decides to “twist on it” and let the Oreo decide.
