Travis Kelce’s sister-in-law Kylie is spilling the tea about how the Kelce clan found out the Chiefs tight end was dating Taylor Swift. Kylie Kelce sat in on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast that dropped February 12th, and broke down the Travis and Taylor timeline for who knew what, and when.
Kelce Family Didn’t Know About Taylor At First
Kylie Kelce, who is married to Travis Kelce’s brother Jason, says the Kelce family didn’t know Travis and Taylor were dating right away. “I will say we knew before everyone else knew,” Kylie told Alex Cooper on her podcast. “But it did not hit the group chat,” she says.
“Jase and I found out together,” she added, “but we knew before they hard-launched with her going to a game.”
Kylie and Taylor Didn’t Meet for Months
Even after the proverbial cat was out of the bag on Travis and Taylor, Kylie didn’t meet the singer for months. Travis and Taylor went public with the relationship when Taylor attended a Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023.
Kylie didn’t meet Taylor until January 2024, when both attended a Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills. But Kylie brushes off speculation that the two women were avoiding each other.
“People are deeply disturbed by this,” she told Cooper. “There was all of this stuff leading up to it about, ‘Why haven’t they met? They’re avoiding each other!’ I’m not avoiding anyone,” Kylie clarified, “I’m more than happy to meet anyone, especially someone that Travis is dating.” In fact, she says she’s baffled by why people are shocked by this. “I didn’t meet Travis for probably close to a year when Jase and I were dating. And she’s busy. It’s just so silly to me that that’s, like, the storyline that’s written.”
Taylor and Kylie’s Bonding Points
Kylie says she’s found plenty of ways to bond with the superstar singer. “We grew up going to the same shore points. So, her family was like Sea Isle/Stone Harbor and that’s like the exact areas that I grew up going to. I’ve gone to Sea Isle City my whole life.”
Kylie and Taylor got a chance to spend some time together while both were in New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
According to E! News, the pair were photographed out to dinner in the Big Easy the day before the game, alongside longtime friends Danielle Haim and Alana Haim from the band HAIM.
Taylor’s parents, Andrea Swift and Scott Swift, and her brother Austin Swift reportedly joined the group at Gianna restaurant, according to the Kansas City Star.
