Hallmark Stars’ Comments on New ‘Christmas at Sea’ Series Are Cracking Us Up

Sun’s out, guns out! On June 12, 2025, Hallmark released the trailer for “Christmas at Sea,” the four-episode unscripted series that will premiere on July 7 as part of its Christmas in July programming lineup.
“Get ready to set sail,” the voiceover says,” as a camera swoops over people decked out in Christmas gear on the deck of a giant cruise ship, “and follow real fans on a journey filled with joy.”
As fans swooned over the sneak peek, many of the stars shared their fun — and funny — reactions to seeing themselves aboard the second of two Hallmark Christmas Cruises that sailed in November 2024.
Stars Have Fun Announcing Unscripted Series About Hallmark Cruise
On board the Norwegian Gem for a five-day, holiday-themed cruise from Miami to the Bahamas, which sold out in a day, were longtime Hallmark stars Benjamin Ayres, Jonathan Bennett, Wes Brown, Erin Cahill, Paul Campbell, Taylor Cole, Nikki DeLoach, Sarah Drew, Tyler Hynes, Kimberley Sustad, and Andrew Walker.
Many of the stars shared the trailer, encouraging fans to watch. When Hynes shared a post with the preview, “Three Wiser Men & a Boy” screenwriter Russell Hainline couldn’t help but notice a scene in which Campbell was in the ship’s gym wearing a tank top.
Haines quipped, “a sleeveless @paulcampbellofficial?! in this economy?!” and Campbell replied, “can we afford not to?”
Hynes also shared Hallmark’s poster promoting the series, with an image of all the stars superimposed over the ship. When a fan amusingly wrote to Hynes, “your head is second biggest,” Campbell jumped in to write, “Easy now… don’t want to make it any bigger…”
Sustad then chimed in, “well mine is the smallest so what does that say….”
Hallmark event planner Shaina Rae Julian noted that Hynes was the only star in the poster wearing sunglasses and cutely commented, “Sunglasses in all future key art pls.” Hynes replied, “hahaha 🤍 someone makin bold and creative choices ✨”
Fans Who Were Aboard Hallmark Cruise Can’t Wait for ‘Christmas at Sea’
Lots of people expressed excitement about seeing the four-part series in July, but perhaps the fans who were most pumped about the preview were those who were aboard the ship while camera crews were filming.
One wrote on Hynes’ post, “we were on that cruise with you guys. I can’t wait to watch and see if we got caught in any cameos and to see the complete thing put together”
On Campbell’s post, someone shared, “this WAS so much fun 😍😍😍 I cannot wait to relive it!”
Another fan wrote on Walker’s post about the show, “Had so much fun, what an experience I’ll never forget!! You were all so sweet and kind, truly the best!!”
“Christmas at Sea” will premiere on Hallmark Channel on July 7 at 8 p.m. Eastern time, and then air each Monday through the rest of the month.
