A recent post about their chart rankings went viral.
LE SSERAFIM‘s journey over the past year has been anything but smooth.

The girl group, known for their bold concepts and unique musical style, faced a difficult period following multiple controversies that significantly impacted their domestic performance.

After the release of their track “Crazy,” which was met with mixed reactions in Korea, LE SSERAFIM’s chart rankings took a noticeable dip. Netizens were quick to point out the contrast between the group’s success internationally and their struggles at home.
However, recent data shows signs of a recovery!
LE SSERAFIM’s new track, “Hot,” has made a strong impact on the Melon charts, bouncing back to top 10 positions and drawing attention for its more approachable sound compared to the experimental “Crazy.” The new track has also drawn international interest, but it’s clear that the domestic audience is responding better to this style.
Looking at the numbers, “Hot” reached a daily peak of 10th place on Melon and landed 9th on the Melon TOP100. While these rankings are not record-breaking, they show a clear improvement from “Crazy,” indicating that LE SSERAFIM is slowly regaining its footing in the highly competitive Korean market.

What’s particularly interesting is the way netizens have responded to the comeback. Many are commenting on how “Crazy” didn’t quite fit the typical Korean taste, but they’re now embracing “Hot” for its more familiar sound.

- “I actually liked ‘Crazy,’ but it was really niche lol. Honestly, it probably did that well in Korea because it was by LE SSERAFIM… I hope ‘Come Over’ climbs the charts again.”
- “‘Crazy’ still doesn’t sit right with me lol. It’s still such a weird song to me. But ‘Come Over’ is really good. I added it to my playlist.”
- “I feel like ‘Crazy’ would appeal more overseas, and ‘Hot’ suits Korean tastes better… But personally, I like ‘Crazy’ and ‘Come Over’ more than ‘Hot.’”
- “I really love this comeback ㅠㅠㅠ So glad they’re recovering… Can people stop dragging girl groups now? LE SSERAFIM fighting “
- “I liked ‘Crazy’ too lol. That ‘dorami’ part is stuck in my head.”
While the group still faces challenges in fully winning over all of Korea’s music scene, this latest turn of events has been encouraging.
