HGTV “Fixer to Fabulous” star Jenny Marrs recently welcomed a new addition to the family — an adorable kitten they named Lloyd. Find out how Lloyd is doing and how he got his too-cute name.
Jenny Marrs Gives a Lloyd Update
On April 12, Marrs took to Instagram to do a little Q&A session. In response to one fan who asked, “How is the kitten doing?” Marrs gave an update on Lloyd.
First, she gave the scoop on their cat’s name — it’s all thanks to her husband, Dave.
“Because Dave was surprised by our new addition (this happens often 😅), he got to choose the name. He chose: Lloyd,” she explained. “It makes me laugh every time I say it.”
Marrs continued, “Lloyd-the-cat is growing so quickly and is hilarious and fun and keeps us laughing. Dave pretends he doesn’t love him but he sends me videos like this one when I’m at work and calls to tell me how much Lloyd likes his newest toy ☺️.”
The HGTV star added, “Lloyd loves to sleep at my feet and meow on my head in the morning when he’s hungry. He has brought us so much joy! So grateful for @pawsofoz 🤍!!!”
She included a funny video of Lloyd having a blast playing with a cat toy.
Jenny Marrs Adopted the Kitten After Building a Catio on ‘Fixer to Fabulous’
On February 4, Marrs revealed that a “Fixer to Fabulous” renovation resulted in their newest family member.
“Tonight’s episode ends with a pet adoption event and (shockingly!) we didn’t go home with a new pet that day,” Marrs explained. “We had no plans to adopt another pet until [the homeowner] Holly’s new foster kittens moved in and Lloyd made his way into our hearts.”
She added, “I thought I’d share a little Lloyd reel so you can see how much joy and laughter he’s brought to our family! 🐾🤍”
In a February 3 Instagram post, Marrs shared photos of the catio space they built in the episode. “Ok, I think this is the most brilliant use of space for a cat-lover and cat-foster mom parent like Holly,” she wrote in the caption. “AND, selfishly, I love it even more because the catio brought Lloyd into our lives!”
The HGTV star explained, “When Holly texted me about how much her new foster kittens liked the space, I couldn’t get past how adorable itty bitty Lloyd was and we adopted our sweet boy not long after.”
