Hrithik Roshan is not producing the Anand Kumar biopic, but is in talks for another one!

There have been rumours about Hrithik co-producing the biopic, Super 30 (tentatively titled), on mathematician and Super 30 founder, Anand Kumar but it is not true. Hrithik is said to be playing Anand Kumar in the film which is being directed by Vikas Bahl.

Anand had started the Super 30 program which coaches 30 economically backward students for IIT-JEE (entrance examinations for IIT).

However a source close to the Roshans says, “Hrithik has liked the concept but not heard the full script as yet so he has asked them to develop it fully and then get back to him. He will come back from his USA holiday and then take a call. This film is being produced by Preeti Sinha (who has the film rights to Anand Kumar’s life story) and Phantom (Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena, Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap). There is another concept, narrated by the Phantom team, which Hrithik and his father Rakesh Roshan, have liked and they may produce that film if both like it enough once it’s fully developed. Both Hrithik and his father are on the lookout for good scripts with talented directors for their production house Filmkraft which they plan to produce themselves. Hrithik has now decided like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and [tooltip id="c1b465420d07c688942ed18eadfd9f92" keyword_color="#000000" background_color="#ffffff"][tooltip id="4db8f5608d45f5de7881d9bce162f4bf"]Salman Khan">[/tooltip][/tooltip] to produce most of his films now and act in them.”

Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan remained unavailable for comment.

Incidentally, last year Shahid Kapoor had been approached to play boy Anand Kumar in Bahl’s Super 30 but talks fizzled out.
