Hulu Renews Beloved TV Show for Seasons 16 & 17

Hulu is bringing back a beloved television show for two more seasons following its recent successful return.

What beloved TV show is coming back for two more seasons?

King of the Hill is getting ready to go again, as Hulu announced that it has renewed the hit animated comedy season for a 16th and 17th season. The renewal announcement means that King of the Hill will have at least three more seasons of episodes for fans to watch.

In 2023, the streamer announced it had ordered 20 new episodes of the series. The first 10 of those release with the show’s revival for Season 14 earlier this year. Season 15, which will comprise the next 10 episodes, will air sometime in 2026. Seasons 16 and 17 will also be 10 episodes a piece, although no release information was made available as of yet.

To celebrate the news, Hulu shared a new trailer of sorts, teasing the arrival of the two new seasons, which you can see below:

King of the Hill originally premiered back in 1997, and ran for 13 seasons before ending in 2009. The series was revived by Hulu, with Season 14 airing in August 2025. The new season saw much of the show’s main cast return, including series co-creator Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, Toby Huss, and Jonathan Joss.

Huss, who originally voiced the role of Kahn Souphanousinphone, played the role of Joseph Gribble following Hardwick’s death during production of the series. Ronny Chieng took over voice acting roles for Kahn. Jonathan Joss, who voiced John Redcorn III from 1998-2025, was murdered in 2025. It’s currently unknown if he’ll appear in the show’s 15th season, nor what plans are for the character in Seasons 16 and 17.

The King of the Hill revival focused largely on Hank and Peggy Hill returning to their home in Arlen, Texas, following years away in Saudi Arabia. The new season tracked their acclimation to life in the modern era, as well as Bobby Hill, a chef looking to make a name for himself as the head of a new fusion restaurant.
