After the four episodes that have aired so far during Farmer Wants A Wife season 3, Samantha is still in the dating competition as part of John’s group of women that also includes Claire Dirette, Kaylee Hane and Lily Ayres. However, even though the season is still young, Samantha has been labeled as the villain, especially since it seems she might not be on the show for the right reasons.

People shared a clip from the next Farmer Wants A Wife episode, which features Samantha having a frank discussion with Farmer John regarding how she’s feeling about their chemistry. She admits she’s feeling “so overwhelmed“ because she didn’t know where this journey would lead her. “I honestly came in here thinking this is going to be extremely easy,” Samantha admits.
Samantha then goes on to praise John as one of the “most amazing” men she’s ever met. According to her, John is “fiercely loyal…God-fearing, family-oriented.” In other words, this farmer is the type of man she’s been looking for. It quickly becomes clear that she might be trying to let him down easy by starting off with a ton of compliments. John knows it too because he simply replies, “But…” The rest of the scene isn’t shown in the preview clip, so fans will have to wait for the episode to air to see how this discussion concludes.

Samantha starting off her monologue by heaping praise on John seems very strategic. If she truly doesn’t want to be on Farmer Wants A Wife anymore because she doesn’t feel a true connection with John, then she seems to be trying to let him down easy. John’s face the entire time she’s talking tells the whole story in this clip. The tension is slowly building between them because, even though Samantha is saying all these nice things, everyone can tell what’s about to unfold in the rest of the scene.

There’s nothing wrong with deciding to leave because of a lack of a connection. In fact, if Samantha quits the show later on in that scene, then that could be a moment of growth for her, in a way. She’s been accused of only appearing on Farmer Wants A Wife in order to continue gaining a large social media following. Also, the fact that she didn’t want to kiss John was very telling as well. Her explanation has been that she doesn’t want to kiss someone she might not end up marrying. The signs are all there that Samantha and John aren’t meant for each other.

Rachel Eve, one of the women competing for Farmer Matt Warren’s heart, quit in the most recent episode, so there’s already a precedent for something voluntarily leaving. If she quits, then John’s focus could be better spent on the women who actually want to be with him.
