Sweet Home season 2 took three years, which was the same window between the first and second seasons of Squid Game. However, All of Us Are Dead is now expected to premiere in 2026, meaning we will have endured a four-year hiatus by the time the show finally comes back. User oddlywolf expressed similar concerns, commenting, “I don’t even want it anymore” if Yoo In-soo, currently on military service, is not on season 2.
Other users also pointed out how the K-drama might struggle to portray its characters as high schoolers, considering how long it has been since filming on season 1 wrapped. Those are just some of the questions and concerns All of Us Are Dead fans have been dealing with since the show was officially renewed for season 2 in June 2022.
Although Netflix’s biggest original shows are taking longer than ever to release new episodes, it’s been three years since we had any substantial news on the zombie K-drama, apart from the fact that filming was reportedly delayed from 2024 to 2025. While there was a four-month time skip toward the end of All of Us Are Dead season 1, it’s unclear whether season 2 will have a significant time jump. With no trailer for season 2, it’s difficult to say in which direction All of Us Are Dead’s story is heading.
