Alex Rodriguez, better known as A-Rod, has dated quite a few celebrity women over the years, like Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, and one many may have forgotten was a thing: He and Madonna had allegedly had a fling in 2008.

Let’s rewind a bit: back in 2008, it was alleged that A-Rod had an “affair of the heart” with Madonna that was the “last straw” to wife, Cynthia Scurtis, who filed for divorce from him. Now, A-Rod is addressing all of it in his HBO’s docuseries Alex vs ARod, alongside his ex-wife, and with the alleged affair, he said via People: “[I] could have been more loyal. I could have been more present. I could have been more sympathetic, empathetic, all of it. You name it.”

But what does Madonna have to say about it? While she hasn’t addressed anything, insiders are claiming she literally forgot about the whole thing. Sources told Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop that Madonna is “utterly unfazed” by A-Rod’s new docuseries, and allegedly doesn’t even remember the 2008 fling.
“She doesn’t remember dating him. Not because it’s painful — because it was forgettable. In bed and out. He just wasn’t a headline in her real life,” the inside source said. “To her, it wasn’t a relationship. It was a Tuesday. She’s Madonna. She’s lived ten lifetimes since A-Rod. He’s not even in her top 50.”
To this day, neither has confirmed that they were an item at any point, but many insiders claim it happened. Only time will tell!
