Introducing Sanchit Balhara Who Did  Background Music In Padmaavat

Even the  harshest protesters would agree that the  background score in Padmaavat has added an extra dimension to the lavish costume. The  theme music is so richly layered and emotive it reminds us of the enigmatic enchanting sounds Maurice Jarre created for the  cinema of David Lean.

The  young man responsible for creating the aural aura of ambrosial spectacle  is just 30.

Sanchit Balhara was born in Rohtak, Haryana on 1st October 1988. He was born in a family with music/films background. With his father Bhal Singh Balhara, a renowned singer, actor and film maker in Haryanvi films Industry and his mother Mukta Chaudhary, a national level Athlete, it was clear from an early age about his future interest. Sanchit also has an elder brother, who is a composer himself too along with being an actor and a singer.

Says Sanchit, “I am blessed to have  worked  with a filmmaker like Sanjay Leela Bhansali in my  first two  films. I made my debut  as  a music composer  in Bhansali Sir’s BajiraoMastani. And now I’ve got a  chance to score the background music again in Padmaavat.”

Sanchit’s Level 2 is of course scoring songs because in Indian cinema the  importance of  the background score remains yet undermined. Sanchit hopes to change that.
