Irrfan Turns Down Films To Have Time To Promote Inferno

Post the release of  Nishikant Kamat’s Madaari Irrfan Khan will be seen in his big Hollywood film of 2016.

Ron Howard’s Inferno which opens worldwide on October 14 features Irrfan  who will be taking off for a global promotional spree  of the film from the middle of September.

The actor has made elaborate scheduling plans to ensure he has time off for Inferno.He has not signed a single film after Nishikant Kamat’s Madaari to ensure there is a clear window for the promotion of Inferno.

Says Irrfan, “This is one of the reasons why I’ve kept a clean slate in the second- half of this year.There are many major events being planned around the release of Inferno. In fact I already have the details of the Singapore premiere. The other promotional events  are being planned.”

About the Indian fear that his role in Inferno may not be substantial Irrfan protests, “I do not share these misgivings. I am not concerned about the length of the role. For me Inferno was an experience of a lifetime. I got to work with Tom Hanks, which was an incredible learning curve in my career.”

For his admirers  who would like to see more of Irrfan in Inferno the actors warns, “I have not seen the film, so I don’t know the length of my role. But I am not concerned with the mathematics of the footage. I am looking at the experience in its totality.And it was a phenomenal experience.”
