Not even one release yet, and Shahid Kapoor’s kid-brother Ishan Khattar has already acquired the reputation of being a natural-born scene stealer.
Such is the bright young actor’s hold over the craft of acting that he is already being hailed as a natural-born scene stealer , and that’s not necessarily a good thing.
A source from the Dhadak crew reveals, “Ishaan’s grasp of the medium is astonishing. Before director Shashank Khaitan has finished explaining a shot, Ishaan gets the point and performs it flawlessly in the first take. He is the boy who comes first in class, finishes his exam papers before everyone else and is out of the examination hall while the rest of the classroom is still struggling with the questions.”
While the Dhadak unit watches the Ishaan magic open-mouthed the young actor is all set to set the screen ablaze in Majid Majidi’s Walk In The Clouds, an updated refurbished version of Slumdog Millionaire celebrating the spirit of slumming with a foreigner ’s gaze of sentimental curiosity.
What stands out in the trailer is Ishaan in the central role, towering over the lachrymose atmosphere with a commandeering empowering conviction. He is every inch the rebellious angry slum boy struggling to keep his spirit from crumbling as fate bombards him with one adversity after another. From the insouciant body language to the streetsmart diction, undoubtedly Ishaan has nailed it in his debut film .
The boy has STAR written over his bio-data.There is no doubt he’s the future of Bollywood. Indian cinema ’s narrative of stardom is being rapidly rewritten almost by the year. Gone is the time when Amitabh Bachchan and the Khans ruled for decades.Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh , Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt changed the dynamics of stardom.
From now on, new star aspirants are going to break down the doors of Bollywood regularly. While Varun and Ranveer rule the roost I see Ishan Khattar where they are in the next one year.
Watch out.
