Jacqueline Fernandes, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri who play sisters in Farhad-Sajid’s Housefull 3 share a common trait. They are all English-speaking ladies who have a difficult time mastering our rashstra-bhasha.
And that’s worked to their advantage in this film where they play girls who speak broken English. While the voices of these three hotties is dubbed by professional Hindi-speaking dubbing artistes in most of their films, in Housefull 3 their tootee-phootee(broken) Hindi is just what the film required.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 3 has three leading ladies who can’t speak Hindi. So the joke on the sets was , John Abraham who acted in the first two Housefull films had to be replaced by Abhishek Bachchan.
“Since we had three sexy ladies who can’t speak the rashtra bhasha we needed three heroes who are fluent at it. Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh fit the bill completely. And the fact that they bond so well with one another also helps.”
The three male actors are close friends in real life. Their camaraderie in Housefull 3 is bound to look real.
As for the three hotties they didn’t know one another at all when they started shooting. They bonded gradually as they tiptoed their way through broken Hindi.
“Initially they couldn’t speak Hindi. They couldn’t even talk to one another because they didn’t know each other. As the shooting progressed Jacqueline, Lisa and Nargis were inseparable,” says a prominent member of the Housefull team now in London.
Apparently directorial duo Sajid-Farhad(who replace Sajid Khan, the director of the first two Housefull films) worked on the linguistic limitations of the leggy luscious ladies to the script’s advantage.
Incidentally this is the third Housefull film to be shot entirely in London.
“Every Housefull film will be shot in London. This is a London franchise,” says Sajid Nadiadwala.
