Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has seen better days . The last two years have not been kind to the films released by Johar’s posh production House Dharma. And now the Coronavirus is playing havoc with Johar’s release plans.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, the bio-pic on India’s first female airforce pilot which was to release theatrically would now get a digital release.
This is not a happy state of affairs for Janhvi Kapoor. A trueblue Dharma girl, Kargil Girl is her third film with Karan Johar. She made her debut with Dhadak for Dharma in 2018 followed by a short film directed by Karan in the Ghost Stories omnibus.
Janhvi has given her best shot to playing Gunjan Saxena, going as far as to learn the basics of air-flying to look convincing in her part. Sources close to Karan Johar’s Dharma Production say Janhvi has delivered an award-winning performance in the film.
