Jenny Marrs Talks About Unexpected Life

Jenny Marrs says there is only one way to deal with all the major changes her family has experienced, and that’s one step at a time.
Podcaster Hannah Love just shared a clip from her conversation with the “Fixer to Fabulous” star where she asks Jenny, “If someone had told you five to ten years ago, could you have imagined what your life would be right now?”
“No!” Jenny laughed. “And I actually think that’s a good thing. Dave and I were just talking about this yesterday. It’s kind of funny that you asked that. Because we were talking about how, in many things with our life, we haven’t had really these grand plans. It’s more like ‘ok God, how can you use us now?’”
Jenny continued, explaining how if she had known when they first decided to move to Arkansas all that was to come, she would have been overwhelmed. “If God had said, ‘here’s all the great stuff, here’s all the hard stuff that’s going to happen to you,’ I probably would have said, ‘I’m good, thanks. I just want to stay safe and comfortable.’”
Jenny Marrs Takes Fans Through Her Journey In New Book
Jenny Marrs told Hannah Love that she writes about that very thing in her upcoming book, “Trust God, Love People.”
Jenny also talks about all the changes in a recent Instagram post, writing, “Eight summers have passed since we agreed to a ‘one-time thing’ of renovating a home with cameras tagging along. After that pilot episode, we learned our show was picked up for a full season. At the time, the name of the show was “Almost Home.” Two years later, the first season aired and was newly named, ‘Fixer to Fabulous.’
I share the full story of how it all unfolded in my new book ‘Trust God, Love People.’”
In that post, she shares an excerpt from the book:
“When we first said yes to filming a television show about our life and our work, we mistakenly assumed God would use the show to further the nonprofit work or to advocate for adoption. While He has done these things, our thinking was much smaller than what I now believe He had planned.
This work of restoring homes, this work that we love, is about so much more. We have been given the immense privilege of sharing the personal stories of the families we work with with the world. We’ve shared stories of families overcoming illnesses and deployed dads serving our country. We’ve renovated a home as a surprise for a family battling childhood cancer and have created homes for our family members, making beautiful memories along the way.”
Jenny’s book drops October 7.
Dave & Jenny Marrs Continue to Expand Their Empire
In addition to their HGTV show “Fixer to Fabulous,” Dave and Jenny Marrs have opened several businesses in their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas. Those include Marrs on Main and Marrs Mercantile.
They also have a string of endorsement deals with everything from Stouffer’s mac n’ cheese to companies that make building materials, hoses, a shower installer and an air conditioning company, among others.
According to Parade, Dave and Jenny Marrs have an estimated net worth of $5 million dollars.
But much of the couple’s focus is on charity. They opened their Marrs Berry Farm to fans this summer to raise money for the charity “Help One Now.” The organization in Zimbabwe trains orphaned teenagers and young adults to help them transition into adulthood with the skills that they need to succeed.
This year, they raised enough money to not only fund the charity for a year, but to spread more funds to other charities close to their hearts.
