Jeremy Renner has the most hilarious yet endearing birthday wish for his Avengers: Endgame costar Paul Rudd, who turned 56. The Marvel star took to Instagram to wish Rudd with a creative film poster that read, “50 Year Old Virgins In Theaters Now.”
Jeremy Renner wishes Paul Rudd ‘Happy Birthday’
Jeremy Renner has a special birthday post for Paul Rudd, leading fans to ask for an actual Avengers reunion. The Town star posted a carousel dedicated to his friend, Rudd, which included a fake movie poster and some shots of the duo posing.
Renner wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday to my dear friend Paul Rudd I raise a glass to you … you sexy SOB.” The post gained over 383k likes within a day of posting as fans asked for a reunion soon. A fan commented, “Okay, but HEAR ME OUT, can you guys make this movie for real? Happy Birthday, Paul.”
Another fan dubbed the duo as the “strongest” Avengers pair, writing, “The two strongest Avengers being actual best friends is the best. And everyone can fight me. The one time they got left out, half the universe died.”
This isn’t the first time that Renner has expressed his love and admiration for the Friends star. The 54-year-old actor once opened up about Rudd on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “So Rudd, who I love so much — he happened to be in town as well promoting his movie, and he came by a couple times to the hospital, always just makin’ my day ’cause he’s one of the funniest guys around, right, Paul Rudd?”
Renner also shared about a creative birthday wish from Rudd that he remembered. The actor revealed, “Anybody know Cameo? Where they can pay money and a movie star can say, ‘Hey, Happy Birthday!’ So he made a fake one. I didn’t even ask him to. He made a fake one like I paid him money for a Cameo.”
The famous “cameo” video was also played in Jimmy Kimmel’s show, where Rudd called Renner “Jerry.” The actor said, “Hey Jerry, I heard you were a little banged up — got into a fight with a snowblower, apparently? Anyway, I just wanted to send this video. It’s really from the heart, and I hope you’re feeling better.”
