JTBC’s Esquire unveils stills from script reading.
Esquire is an office drama about Hyo Min (Jung Chae Yeon), a rookie lawyer at the Yulim Law Firm who is righteous and determined but inexperienced in social life. The story follows her journey of growth as she clashes with Yoon Seok Hoon (Lee Jin Wook), a partner attorney at Yulim Law Firm.
Lee Jin Wook takes on the role of Yulim’s Law Firm’s partner attorney Yoon Seok Hoon. Seok Hoon is a savvy strategist in court who enjoys new interpretations over rigid logic but is sincere toward those he needs to protect.
Jung Chae Yeon portrays Kang Hyo Min, a rookie lawyer in Yulim’s litigation team. She may seem sloppy but is intuitive and quick-witted in moments of crisis.
Lee Hak Joo plays the role of Lee Jin Woo, a witty and cheerful associate attorney. With a warm personality, he understands senior Yoon Seok Hoon’s intentions better than anyone and looks after the juniors with great care.
Jeon Hye Bin takes on the role of Heo Min Jung, an associate attorney at Yulim Law Firm. Having pursued a legal career later in life, Heo Min Jung successfully graduated from law school and confidently carved out her own path.
The production team of Esquire stated, “From the very first reading, the four actors immersed themselves in their respective characters, creating lawyers with distinct personalities,” and added, ‘We hope you look forward to the unique story of Esquire, which will deliver laughter, empathy, and at times, touching emotion.”
Esquire is coming August 2. News about the K-drama’s global OTT is yet to come.
