Jurassic World Rebirth’s Manuel Garcia-Rulfo on Jonathan Bailey: ‘Hot Motherf—er’

While promoting his role in Jurassic World Rebirth, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo praised his co-star Jonathan Bailey. Reflecting on their time filming together, Garcia-Rulfo opened up about Bailey’s acting skills and popularity. In the same interview, he also reflected on his experience of joining the dinosaur franchise.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo praises Jonathan Bailey and calls him ‘incredible actor’

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo recently shared his admiration for co-star Jonathan Bailey. While reflecting on their time filming Jurassic World Rebirth, the Lincoln Lawyer actor described Bailey as a remarkable talent. 

Garcia-Rulfo shared, “I can see why. I can see why everybody goes crazy with the guy. He’s not just an incredible actor, but he’s a hot mothef—-er.” The actor also explained that working with Bailey even earned him bonus points with his niece. He said, “She was like, ‘You’re going to work with Jonathan. Oh my goodness.’” (via Variety)

Bailey wasn’t the only cast member that Garcia-Rulfo talked about. He also spoke fondly of Scarlett Johansson, describing her as the group’s unofficial leader during production. Off-camera, she organized dinners and local sightseeing for the cast. “She’s unaware of who she is. I tell her, ‘You know you’re Scarlett Johansson?’ She goes in the world like, ‘La, la, la,’ and that’s so beautiful,” the actor shared. 

Talking about his casting in Jurassic World Rebirth, Garcia-Rulfo called it “huge.” While shooting Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer, his agents informed him that Spielberg was considering him for the Jurassic sequel. He added, “It didn’t hit me until I was in Thailand, and there was a huge dinosaur there. It’s like, ‘Oh my God, we’re doing ‘Jurassic.’”

In the film, Garcia-Rulfo plays Reuben Delgado, a father who ends up stranded with his daughters after their sailboat is wrecked by dinosaurs. The family joins the characters of Bailey, Johansson, and Mahershala Ali on a mission to collect dinosaur blood for a pharmaceutical company.
