Kamal Haasan Loses Precious Books In Fire, Says The loss Is Irreversible

The  fire that devastated Kamal Haasan’s home in Chennai last week has caused more creative than financial damage.

Says the grief-stricken actor, “The damage from the fiscal point of view is bearable. What is unbearable is nearly 20 percent of my library is barbequed. Some of the books were signed by authors ,some living and some no more. No  money can  buy me back what I’ve lost.”

Kamal Haasan’s new home is now being readied. “I was in any way living in a leased house till I completed my new home ,wherein the fire accident happened.My new house should be ready in six to seven months. I am also building my post-production venue very close to it so I save nearly 600 hours per annum commuting to my present office.”
