As He Readies To Take On His Biggest Challenge
Telugu filmmaker Krish (Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi) is no stranger to costume epic dramas. His last film Gautamiputra Satkarni was a lavish 2nd century costume drama .
But in Telugu.
Manikarnika will be made in Hindi.
Giving out details of his shooting plans Krish says, “We are starting the shooting from the first week of July and we hope to complete by year-end.”
The film will be shot on actual locations where the Rani Of Jhansilived.
Says Krish, “We are starting the first schedule in Madhya Pradesh. We then move to Rajasthan for another spell of shooting. A part of the film will also be shot at the Ramoji Rao studio.Some of the scenes have to shot on sets and the sets are now being built.”
There have been reports of Kangana Ranaut who plays the Rani OfJhansi co-directing Manikarnika.Kangna claims this will be her last film as an actor as he intends to turn director with her next.
But Krish shoots down rumours of Kangana co-directing the Rani OfJhansi project. “She will only be playing the lead role,that’s it.”
Regarding the film’s language Krish says, “We are making the film primarily in Hindi. It will then be dubbed into Telugu and Tamil.”
Krish was unaware of the other project on the Rani Of Jhansi being produced by the US based Swati Bhise, until he read about it.
“I had to google to get to knw about it. Not that it makes any difference, ” says Krish.
