Karan Johar Hits Out At Actors’ Ridiculously Hiked Remuneration

Days since  Karan Johar took  direct potshots at  actors for their unrealistic price tags, there  is  a big debate in the  film industry on which actors Karan was referring to.

In  the  interview with Anupama Chopra , Karan was heard saying, “They’re all crazy! Crazy, with a capital ‘C’. They’re cuckoo, many of them…Just because their two films do well suddenly it’s all me, myself and I…. All these wonderful actors; Rajkummar Rao andAyushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal; I hope they are solid and sensible about their monetary choices.”

Now the world is inferring that the three actors named above have  asked  for unrealistic  amounts of  money from Johar.

A close friend of Karan’s reveals, “It’s  not about Rajkummar or  Ayushmann  or Vicky, though all three have hiked their  remuneration unrealistically. But it was Kartik Aryan’s  team which  asked for some amount that sent Karan staggering.”

With just one  success behind him Sonu  Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik has apparently hiked his remuneration to seven times what  it used to be. Apparently,Kartik  turned  down a lead role in Karan Johar’s Good News  for remunerative  reasons leaving Karan  fuming anger.

Sources say Ayushmann Khurrana’s new market rate  post the two successes in 2018(AndhaDhun and  Badhaai Ho) is staggering.

“Big producers  like Karan  Johar, Aditya Chopra and Sajid Nadiadwala  never discussed money with the biggest of stars. But the new stars first discuss money then the script,” says a producer who approached  Vicky Kaushal  , and fled when  he heard the  price that was quoted.
