Kareena Kapoor and Sis-in-law Soha Ali Khan Disagree On Motherhood

While Soha Ali Khan has for now decided to set aside her career to be a full-time mother to Inaaya, Soha’s ultra-glamorous sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor is no mood to give up her career or massive social life to be full-time mother to her 1-year old son Taimur.

A family friend of the Khan family says the two women are completely opposed as far as motherly duties go. “Soha is happy to be a full-time mother. Kareena, while enjoying her motherly duties won’t give herself 24/7 to her little boy. That’s why we see Taimur more with his nanny than mother. This is not to say that Kareena not a good mother. She is just willing to be unconditionally hands-on.”

Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan is totally with his wife on her decision to apportion her time equally to her child, career and friends.

However, the family friend observes, “Why can’t Kareena strike a balance between motherly duties and other obligations like her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore did? Sharmilaji did all her most successful films after becoming a mother and still brought  up her three children beautifully.”
