Kartik Aaryan started shooting for his new venture Shehzada on October 25. It is the Hindi remake of the Telugu superhit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The last real blockbuster of Indian cinema before the pandemic brought all life, in and outside movies, to a standstill.
Kartik and his Shehzada director Rohit Dhawan have been brainstorming over their version of the Telugu blockbuster for months now. They both feel it is essential to retain the flavour of the original, but to move away from the original in terms of visual and emotional exploration.
While Shehzada will be different from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo in many vital ways the film’s blockbuster song Butta Bomma will be re-created in Hindi for the remake.
Kartik Aaryan is sure to match the steps of Allu Arjun from the origin.
Even Allu Arjun expressed confidence in Kartik being the best choice for the remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
“Kartik has the energy, the acting chops and the dancing skills. I am sure he will do the role in his own striking way,” says Allu.
