Kartik Aryan’s Next Is Titled Freddy

Rajesh Khanna  did Anand  and  Bawarchi  to feel  the  full force  of his stardom.Now  Kartik Aryan  is  playing Freddy, the  title  role in  director Ajay Bahl’s film which  Kartik will commence shooting in mid-2021  after  finishing his   film in  Ram Madhvani’s thriller.

Says a source  close  to development,  “In Freddy Kartik will  play a character  unlike any he has  played  so far. Ajay wanted someone  with a  sense of mischief and mystery.  Kartik fitted the  bill.”

  Kartik will go through rigorous workshop to get his body language  and  diction right for  Freddy.

“He  will be  nothing  like Kartik Aryan when he is ready to play Freddy,” promises  the source  close  to  the  development.

  Kartik Aryan  will start shooting for  director  Ajay Bahl’s social  comedy Freddy in June 2021. The  film to be produced  by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies  would feature  Kartik in a never-before avatar.Kartik who has a jampacked year ahead  agreed to squeeze in one  more project  because  he couldn’t resist it.

“Ajay Bahl who has made films  on  bold  unexplored  themes  in  BA Pass  and Section 375, has a very unusual role for Kartik. It’s   lighthearted  but extremely relevant  character that would require  a long preparation from Kartik. But the actor is  up to the task. He will  first finish his film with  Ram Madhvani which starts  shooting in  December,  then  complete Priyadarshan’s  Bhool  Bhulaiya  and Karan  Johar’s Dostana  2  and then  go on  to Ajay Behl’s film  which starts shooting in  June 2021,”says an informed  source.

Last  year  Kartik  tried  something different  in  Imtiaz Ali’s  Love Aaj Kal   , but failed miserably. He  has since then been  looking for roles that  would challenge him  as an actor.
