It’s been years since Katrina Kaif was supposed to have done a Dharma Production. Somehow, things never fell into place.
Until now. When Katrina, on a comeback trail after heartbreak, is all set to play the lead in Karan Johar’sDharma Productions for a film entitled Sufi to be directed by debutant director Aditya Dhar.
Dhar had originally planned the film in 2011 with Chitrangda Singh and Prateik Babbar. But things didn’t work out back then. Finally it was Karan Johar’s current partiality towards Fawad Khan which worked in Katrina’s favour. Not only is Fawaad featured in Dharma Productions’ Kapoor & Sons he also plays a pivotal part inKaran Johar-directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Katrina, on the other hand, has been unable to feature in any Dharma Production except for her sizzling dance number Chikni chameli in Agneepath. She was supposed to star with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan inDostana 2. It never got made. At last a full-fledged role for Katrina in a Dharma Production.
