Someone in  heaven  must be  smiling at  the  announcement  of  Abhishek Kapoor’s next project   which  goes by the  vapid title  of  Chandigarh Kare Ashiqui, whatever that means.

The  project was  meant to star  Sushant Singh Rajput.  Right  after they  completed Kedarnath, director Abhishek Kapoor  and his leading  man Sushant Singh Rajput began  discussing their  next  project.

But then  God had other plans. Sushant is  no more.

And  Ayushmann Khurrana has  taken over  the  project.  Director Abhishek Kapoor’s  journey with  Sushan  was  most interesting  . Kapoor launched Sushant in Hindi cinema with the  cult hit Kai Po Che. But when Sushant refused to do  Kapoor’s next  film Fitoor(Sushant didn’t believe  in the script) Kapoor went to  Aditya Roy Kapur  .

Fitoor  was  a  massive  flop. And  Abhishek Kapoor mended  his  bridges with  Sushant to make the hit  Kedarnath.

Can  Abhishek Kapoor make  a hit film without Sushant  in  Chandigarh  Kare Ashiqui?
