Indian  child actors are going global with their cute virtuosity

Last year we had Neel Sethi wowing global audiences with his confident  performance as Mowgli in The Jungle Book. There were other enormously significant films last  year like Pete’s Dragon andBFG with child actors playing the central role.

This year it’s Sunny Pawar who steals the show from a stellar cast inLion that includes Nicole Kidman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and RoonyMara. And  it isn’t only Lion where Sunny makes such a huge impact. He’s back occupying centrestage in  Tabrez Noorani’s Love Soniya .If little Sunny stole the show from Dev Patel in Lion it’s Freida Pinto whom Sunny gives a run for her money in Love Soniya.

In Logan which opens this week 9-year old Dafne Keen shares the lead with Hugh Jackman.
