Actor Kim Hee Won is confirmed to direct another webtoon-based K-drama.
On August 26, it was officially confirmed that actor Kim Hee Woon has confirmed his second directorial project after the hit 2024 series Light Shop. The actor will also direct the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama A Man’s Man.
The production company Studio N confirmed, “A Man’s Man, a popular Naver webtoon, will be produced as a K-drama with the goal of filming next year, and actor Kim Hee Won will be directing it.”
A Man’s Man will tell the story of an ordinary office worker who rises to the position of a company’s CEO. However, while at the top, nobody is there to celebrate with him. After a night of drinking and questioning if he can change the past, he then wakes up the next day, twenty years younger and at the beginning of his career once again. Armed with the experience and insights that made him CEO, he begins to change his past relationships and the work environment of his company. Meanwhile, he has no idea what will happen to his future after changing the past.
The upcoming K-drama will depict the story of the main character named Han Yoo Hyun. There are no reports yet on which actor will portray the role in the upcoming series.
A Man’s Man will be produced by Studio N. The K-drama aims to begin filming next year. Meanwhile, the premiere date is still undecided. 
Last year, actor Kim Hee Won successfully made his debut as a director with the hit Disney+ K-drama Light Shop, which was led by Ju Ji Hoon, Park Bo Young, AOA’s Kim Seol Hyun, Bae Sung Woo, Uhm Tae Goo, Lee Jung Eun, and more. Through this K-drama, Kim Hee Won’s skills as a director were recognized, and he was nominated at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards.
Aside from directing, Kim Hee Won will return to K-dramas next year with Gold Land. He will work alongside Park Bo Young, Kim Sung Cheol, Lee Hyun Wook, Moon Jung Hee, and Lee Kwang Soo.
