The Squid Game director’s production company will reportedly produce Kim Hye Soo‘s next K-drama project.
On September 18, media outlets reported that Kim Hye Soo will be the main lead of the upcoming Coupang Play original K-drama Affairs Not the Only Secret. According to reports, Kim Hye Soo’s new K-drama will be produced by First Man Studio, the production company founded by director Hwang Dong Hyuk, who is known for creating Squid Game.
Affairs Not the Only Secret will tell the story of a wife who unexpectedly witnesses an incident while trying to track down her husband’s infidelity.
Director Lee Chang Hee will helm the upcoming Coupang Play original K-drama. The director is known for creating the K-dramas A Killer Paradox, Strangers from Hell, and the film The Vanished.
Kim Hye Soo has been offered the lead role of a wife who, while trying to prove her husband’s infidelity, becomes entangled in an incident she witnesses. The actress’s representatives haven’t responded to the casting reports.
Affairs Not the Only Secret will exclusively air on Coupang Play. There is no official information yet on when the K-drama will premiere.
If Kim Hye Soo confirms her casting, this will be her debut on the OTT platform, Coupang Play.
Kim Hye Soo is also set to reprise her role in the upcoming K-drama The Second Signal. She will reunite with Lee Je Hoon, Jo Jin Woong, Ahn Jae Hong, Son Hyun Joo, and Jo Woo Jin.
This year, Kim Hye Soo led the Disney+ original K-drama Unmasked with Jung Sung Il, Joo Jong Hyuk, Shin Jung Keun, Lee Hae Young, and Jang Hye Jin.
